hMouse over for videoh Felipeco does his moonwalk when he thinks you are going to put him back in his cage. He also does it to defend what he claims as his territory. He is so funny, I call him "My Little Man" as he can be so stubborn and stands like a little bulldog or bantam-weight prizefighter. He is certainly not afraid of anybody. He latched onto Charley Kaptur's lip one day and refused to let go until he had bitten clear through his lower lip, causing us to urge Charley to get a labret. He is very adventuresome, happy to march along the floor looking for toys and stray treats. He will also charge toes on occasion, for the pure joy of the hunt. He is not friendly with other birds, even of his own species. He loves best to be with either myself or my husband sitting on our heads with his feet tucked in our hair.

Felipeco is a very masculine bird, weighing over 210 grams and very strong.
He has a superb grip and will not let go of a perch or hold on a fistfootful of
your hair until he is ready to. He loves to shred his wooden toys, swing on a
swing and shake a plastic chain back and forth like a dog worrying a rope.
