The Downey Fire Department was supportive and allowed us to pull their fire truck on Labor Day 2001. We all go to the open air barbeques held at The Country Butcher afterwards. Other photos show the El Segundo Fire Department also letting us pull their truck. Our good friend and Firefighter Jimbo Tulette also pulled the truck with Kevin. He is a Small Spaces Specialist. Not satisfied pulling it out of the firehouse, Kevin also pulls it backwards. Only good attitudes and smiling faces are allowed in the Freak Factory Gym. The group also pulld Charlie's work truck. Kevin made two personal records that day, pulling a diesel tractor and trailer, and ham shot through the nose for distance. We combine strongman event training on weekends with hardcore gym time during the week. During the Highland Games season we incorporate throwing events and caber tossing. Our strongman events are practiced in front of our house. Many of our neighbors turn out on Sunday mornings to watch us, and let us pull their motorhome (Thanks Norm and Linda!)
